Parish Election Day Prayer and Adoration, November 03-2020
From Our Parish Priest, Fr. Joseph Ho cssr

Please join us in our election day prayer and adoration, to ask for our Lord's grace and mercy as we elect our leaders.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will come over our nation and guide each one to elect men and women who are, and will be God's servants in whichever office they are elected to.

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed immediately after mass at 8:30am until 7pm.

I request that at least one Knight be present every hour of the day

Please contact Brothers Paul Bordelon and Aboyi Olokpo for details

Upcoming Service Activities
Ushers Urgently needed for Sunday Masses

As more people return to Sunday Mass, we need volunteers to assist with ushering during the Saturday 5pm and Sunday (7:30, 9:30 and 11:30am) Masses.

The Chapel is open for over-flow on Sunday at 9:30 and 11:30am and one additional usher is needed.

The primary role of the usher is to ensure that people find sitting places with the required 6ft gap to stay safe while attending Mass.

Please Contact Bro. David Hobson (PGK) or Aboyi Olokpo (GK) to add your name to the list of available volunteers for the Mass you usually attend. They will also provide you with Guidance/Training.

Catholic Charities (Mamie George Community Center - Richmond) Needs Volunteers

Thank you for your donations
The team wishes to thank the Scared Heart Parish and the Knights of council 7445 for all the food donations you have been collecting for the months of September and October.
They are especially grateful for the toiletries, baby diapers and home sanitation supplies that have been included. These are especially useful at this time as many families are cutting back on those necessities in favor of food. Also, such supplies are not covered by their SNAP coupons so many have had to do without.

Thank you all so much and God Bless you in your works of love.

Service Opportunities

The majority of our work is distributing groceries to families in need, and you can help either by helping families to register as they come in, directing traffic, or putting the groceries into the trunks of the vehicles.
  • Limited in person volunteer opportunities area available!
  • We're especially looking for some extra help on Tuesdays.

Signing up
We’ve got a few KoC Councils coming to volunteer already and would love to have your knights join us as well!
Volunteers coming for the first time will need to bring with them a completed waiver form.

Military Projects
As we have done in previous years, we shall be collecting donations for ur end of year military projects, supporting our deployed troop and their families as well as laying wreaths for those who have gone to their rest.
Brother Mike Spiech will provide details in a separate email and Sunday bulletin

Respect Life Annual Dinner/Gala
