COATS FOR KIDS PROGRAM

SACRED HEART KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS "COATS FOR KIDS" PROGRAM

"Help Us To Help Our Children"

Many families in our area are struggling to clothe their children with warm coats in the winter. Sadly, many of the younger children are going to school without coats during the winter months.

Last year, we joined with Lamar CISD's Common Threads Program, which identifies and provides assistance to under privileged children and their families residing in the district, to provide new coats. Through your generous donations and fundraising events, your KC council was able to purchase 96 new coats for elementary age boys and girls.

Unfortunately, we were not able to provide enough coats for all the children needing coats. This year we have included two fund raisers to purchase more new coats for the children and are asking you to help us by purchasing our food and/or donating money.

All PROFITS from the October 6th and November 3rd barbecues will be used to purchase new coats for the children. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

We thank you in advance for supporting your KC council on this very important project.

Texas Right to Life

"Celebration of Life Banquet" on Saturday, 9/28

This year's Texas Right to Life fundraising "Celebration of Life" event will be at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston starting at 6:00pm on Saturday, September 28th. The evening will include a social hour, a silent auction, dinner, and Keynote Speaker Reverend Rafael Cruz, the father of Senator Ted Cruz. Tickets to this event are $200 each or $350 for a couple. We currently have a number of Knights from Our Council planning on attending and there is room for more to attend.
