HELP WITH FISH FRY NEEDED
Brother Knights,
The Sacred Heart Fish Fry is ongoing. We are averaging over 500 plates sold each Friday. We are 300 plates ahead of last year. We are so very blessed. I want to thank each and everyone who has come out to support us either by working or buying plates or both. Thank you!! This was a job well done and we could not have accomplished it without out you!! That brings me to my plea--we need your help especially from 4 pm to 5:30 pm on Fridays. It is at these times that we are extremely shorthanded on the serving line. We can use help at other times too. Just show up; no experience necessary. Even if it appears that we have plenty of help at that moment, those folks will move on and you will be needed.
We have setup on Thursday at 4 pm. If you can't make it until 5 pm, please come then. We are usually working until 6 pm.
We begin prepping and cooking at 1 pm on Fridays. Serving begins at 4 pm and concludes at 8 pm. Please consider giving an hour or more of your time. It is a great time for fellowship, too.

A PLEA
Participation in our
service programs has declined recently. I ask that you search
within your hearts and schedules to find time to serve at fish fries and
in other service activities. "Therefore, fear the Lord, and serve
him in Truth and from your whole heart. For you have seen the
great works that he has done among you." 1Samuel12:24

Upcoming KC Events
The
Church picnic is scheduled for Sunday, May 5. Brother Vince
Alaniz and Brother Chris Adams are spearheading this event. We are
expecting a large turnout for the picnic. We will need as many
hands on deck as can assist with this event. You may contact
either of them for further information. If you wish, you can
attend the planning meetings in the CCE building, March 28, 6pm,
April 4 and 11 at 6:30pm.
Vigil
for life at Planned Parenthood, 4600 Gulf Frwy, is scheduled for
Saturday, March 30, 6:30am-noon. Please come out and pray for our
unborn on that date.
Trash pick-up (Adopt-A-Highway) to be announced at a later date. Brother Kevin Eaves is leading us in this program.
KC Convention, Corpus Christi, April 26-28.
April BBQ sales are scheduled for Palm Sunday, April 14.
Our
yearly Planning Meeting is scheduled for June 8. Your suggestions
are most welcome. Please email me with your ideas.
The
May 5 BBQ cook is cancelled in lieu of the parish Picnic--Knights will
be cooking and serving at the picnic. Please come and help us; we
are expecting a large turnout.
To replace our lost income for the May BBQ, we will be cooking briskets for July 4--tentatively plan to cook them June 29/30.
Hope you are praying the Novena for Life which began March 21 and concludes March 30.

Dear Brother Knights,
We
are almost $3,000 behind in dues payments for this year. Our
programs and activities will be sorely affected by the loss of these
funds if they are not forthcoming. Your payment will be greatly
