A Time for Prayer
&
A Time to Step Up

Please keep Our Worthy Grand Knight John Burkett in your prayers as he has a serious case of shingles and some other health issues. While he is taking care of himself, it is important that we as Brother Knights of "Our Council" continue to do the best we can. A number of Our Council's leaders are stepping up to take on some of the responsibilities of Our Worthy Grand Knight as he recovers and also ask that each Brother Knight assist whenever possible.

Since the majority of Our Council's Brother Knights do not attend either of our two monthly meetings, the Weekly Newsletter/Email appears to be our best means of communication. I would like to extend a big "THANK YOU" to all the Brother Knights that have stepped up to assist with the many projects we have done recently and over the past years. Those of you who have not taken the opportunity to assist for one reason or another, please consider doing so in the future. We are always in need of assistance, it relieves the stress of the event organizers, and it allows you and your Brother Knights time to get to know each other a little better.

Please take a look at the number of upcoming events over the next couple of months and volunteer to assist whenever possible. Other opportunities will also be available throughout next year. Thank you in advance for your assistance and support of the charities Your Council supports.

Fraternally yours,

SK Marty Gibula, PGK

Turkey Orders, Cook & Pick-up
Order forms for both "Smoked" and "Fried" turkeys as well as "Smoked" turkey breasts will be in the church bulletin. Please place your orders no later than Sunday, 11/18.
Help will be needed all day Wednesday, 11/21, as we fry and smoke the turkeys, as well as pack them for pick-up between 4-6pm. We will also be cleaning and organizing the shed during the day, so any amount of time that can be spent with your Brother Knights will be appreciated. Please contact Greg Nemec at 713-416-2983 if you can assist or have any questions.

Miracle on Morton Street - 12/1

The annual Miracle on Morton Street will take place on Saturday, December 1st. Our menu is planned, but we will need help throughout the day, from 7:30am - 8:00pm, with setup and take down of our area, as well as the cooking and serving. Please make an effort to come out for an hour or two to assist Our Brother Knights that organized this activity and raise funds for the charities we support. Reply to this email if you can help during any part of the day.

December 11th & 12th BBQ Cook & Sales

Collection for Military Projects

Yes, it is going to be a very busy weekend. Besides Miracle on Morton Street, our monthly BBQ Cook & Sales and the Collection for Our Military Projects will require help from as many Knights as possible. The "A Team" is up to do the BBQ this month, but we all need to help wherever and whenever we can.

If you can help with the BBQ, please contact Brother Greg Nemec at 713-416-2983 and contact Brother Michael Spiech at 713-315-1311 for the Military Project.
