Thanks to all the brother knights and families that came out to assist with our fourth Lenten fish fry of the season (2 more to go).  And thanks to those that came out to enjoy the food and fellowship.  

Thanks to the brother knights (especially Brother Karl Hennings, Chair and the Mass Captains) that helped with the collection of food from our 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive this weekend too (2 more weeks to go as well).  Let's challenge ourselves and the SHC families to donate one canned good for each day of Lent!

Weekly totals to date for 40 Cans for Lent 2018:

Week 1   -    670 lbs.
Week 2  -  1,060 lbs.
Week 3  -  1,038 lbs.
Week 4. -  1,553 lbs

HOUSTON'S ANNUAL SAINT PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
 
Saturday, March 17th, 2018
A short 15 block walk!
If you physically can't walk it, you can ride on the float.
 'THE KNIGHTS ON BIKES' WILL BE RIGHT BEHIND US
 
Location:Parade starts and stops at 1800 Texas St.  (the clock tower at Minute Maid Park)
 
Assemble: Parking at Annunciation Church.  Unless told otherwise.
Assemble around the bar at 1800 Texas St.
 
Time:We assemble at 11:00 AM.   Parade Starts at 12:00 Noon.   
 
The Fourth Degree will provide the Honor Guard.  The new uniform or traditional regalia please. Please do not show up with lapel pins and patches that are not approved. For those Sir Knights without uniform or cape and chapeaux, please turnout in tux, social baldric and white gloves.  For those members without regalia of any sort, please wear a shirt (Council or Assembly) that identifies you as a Knight of Columbus.  Bring your 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Brothers.  Bring your wife and kids of all sizes (strollers, wheel barrels, wagons).  They can walk with us too!
 
RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!  IF IT'S RAINING LEAVE THE REGALIA AT HOME.  WEAR A KC SHIRT AND LET'S WALK IN THE RAIN!
 
Fish Fry - Weekly Reminder
 
Reminder:  Sacred Heart 5th annual Fish Fry - 

Assistance is needed for the following:

Thursday's - 5 to 7 PM:
  • Prep Fish
  • Equipment set-up
  • Serving Line set-up (Dine in and Drive Thru)
  • To Go set-up
  • Table and chairs Setup
Friday's - 1 to 9 PM:
  • Continue setup from night before (if not complete)
  • Frying Fish
  • Side Dish Prep
  • Signs
  • Drive Thru lane setup
  • Tear Down and Cleanup
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS A SERVANT'S HEART!
ANY AMOUNT OF TIME ON ANY OF THE DAYS IS WELCOME AND GREATLY NEEDED. Bring the whole family as all are welcome!

"Strong Men" to Help With Tolton Setup

Brother Knights - 

St. Luke's has asked that we proved 4-5 "strong volunteers" to help with setup and take down for our production of Tolton: From Slave to Priest.The setup time is 12:30-5:30 pm on Saturday, March 24 and take down is 9-10:30 pm on Sunday, March 25. These can be two separate groups of people.

Please let me or the Church Office (281-342-3609) know if you are able to assist with setup and/or take down.
