Brothers -

Many things to be thankful for this week.

First and foremost - thanks to those that assisted with Tuesday's Mardi Gras Pancake/Sausage supper.  Thanks to the families that came out to enjoy the festivities, too.  A great turn-out!

Secondly - many thanks to all brother knights and families that came out to assist with our first week fish fry.  Lots of volunteers are needed to make this event successful and many folks heard the call and stepped up to help.  Thanks to those families that came out to eat with us too!  Another great turnout and the food was delicious!!

Thirdly - thanks to the brother knights (especially the Mass Captains) that helped with the collection of food from our 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive.

And last but certainly not least - thanks to Brother Knight Dr. David Krusleski and Wife, Suzanne, for agreeing to serve as our Council's Building the Domestic Church Chair Couple.  The role of the BDC chair couple will be to work with the Council to develop and implement programs that are more closely aligned with the goals and mission of the parish and pastor and help the entire family to better understand their Catholic faith and put that faith into practice every day.

Thank you for all you do each and every day -
David Hobson, GK

Fish Fry - Weekly Reminder

Brothers -

Reminder:  Sacred Heart 5th annual Fish Fry -

For six Friday's following Ash Wednesday (2/16 - 3/23) the ACTS Community and the KC's turn the Family Life Center in to a community dining experience that the whole neighborhood comes to enjoy.

We also offer take out and drive through for those on the run.

Serving takes place from 4 pm to 8 pm (timed conveniently for those attending Stations of the Cross) and it's a great time for fun, fellowship and service.
Depending on your schedule - we will need assistance to ensure the continued success of this activity and we are humbly asking that YOU consider volunteering to help make this an easy fun filled event!
Assistance is needed for the following:

Thursday's - 5 to 7 PM:
  • Prep Fish
  • Equipment set-up
  • Serving Line set-up (Dine in and Drive Thru)
  • To Go set-up
  • Table and chairs Setup
Friday's - 1 to 9 PM:
  • Continue setup from night before (if not complete)
  • Frying Fish
  • Side Dish Prep
  • Signs
  • Drive Thru lane setup
  • Tear Down and Cleanup
To help facilitate the various activities I am humbly asking for volunteers to help. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS A SERVANTS HEART!
Please do not feel that you have to commit to all six days. ANY AMOUNT OF TIME ON ANY OF THE DAYS IS WELCOME AND GREATLY NEEDED. Bring the whole family as all are welcome!

We will have live music again this year!!

Yours in Christ,
Chris and Tara Adams
Please prayerfully consider this call for help and Trust in The Lord!

Upcoming Meetings - REMINDER

Brothers,

Our Sacred Heart Lenten Mission and Reconciliation Service is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, February 25th - 28th.  During this time Father Joseph has asked no meetings be held so all can attend the mission.  Please note that our 4th Tuesday KC Business Meeting, normally held 2/27, will be moved to the 3rd Tuesday in February, 2/20.  The 2nd Tuesday Mardi Gras Pancake Cook on 2/13 will be considered our Council/Social Meeting.

Thanks,
GK
