Condolences

Brother Knights -

Please keep Brother Knight Ray Pargac and family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of Ray's wife, Cecilia.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace.

Amen.

Thank YOU!

Brother Knights -

Thank you for your support of this weekend's Parish Baby Shower benefiting the PRMC - by all accounts it was very successful in donated items and funds.  Also thanks to those assisting with the collection of funds for the Frontline Faith and Trees for Troops Military Project Fundraiser.  A great opportunity for us to give back to those that put their lives on the line for us each and every day and their families.  A big thanks to those that assisted with this weekend's BBQ cook, too.  So much time and effort goes into a monthly cook and could not be accomplished without you.  Thank YOU!

This Upcoming Weekend, 11/11

Please plan to attend this Saturday's, 11/11 KofC Corporate Communion Memorial / Veterans Day Mass as we take a moment to remember the deceased brothers of Council #7445 and acknowledge all those that have served our great country in the military.  Please wear a Council shirt to represent the Council and plan to sit with your family.

SHC Helpful Recycling Information

Greetings;

Sacred Heart has begun our Recycling Program along with your assistance and support.
By using the various labeled recycle bins & containers distributed throughout the buildings and offices,
our landfill waste will be cut in half!
The blue rectangular tubs labeled REPUBLIC were given to our parish from the City of Richmond. These are for 'pick-up' on the rectory curb by 7am Friday. ( They may be placed out by Thursday afternoon)
Recycling Plastic: water & soda bottles, take-out containers, tableware
Recycling Paper: junk mail, envelopes, newspapers, magazines, cardboard
Recycling: Cans and Glass

NON- Recyclable items: Styrofoam, trash/food waste, aluminum foil, aerosol cans & batteries
*****************************************************************************************************************************************

In the CCE Building and Family Life Center there are blue containers collecting ONLY plastic bags, plastic table cloths and plastic wrap.
(These are NOT recycled by Republic Recycling Company and should be bagged when full & placed within the designated fenced area behind the chapel along with cans.)
I will collect bagged plastic and cans and recycle them at Blume Road Recycling Center, Randalls and the Fort Bend Metal.
Please do not throw the plastic bags and aluminum cans in the trash.
* To make things easier, you may put the bagged cans and bagged plastic outside the Family Life Center kitchen door.
I am at the church weekly working in the Prayer Garden and will pick them up.

Please consider donating your empty, bagged aluminum cans and placing them within the designated fenced area behind the chapel.
Proceeds will be used towards the purchase(reimbursement) of new recycling bins used throughout our parish.
Thank you all for your assistance and......

Prayer Warriors Needed

As we pray for our fellow Christians who were killed and injured in the shooting at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, I ask that you please keep in mind the First Responders who had to work the call. These First Responders are having to deal with the investigation and at the same time remain strong and focused for the families. I was involved in the investigation of the mass shooting at the Wedgewood Baptist Church in Fort Worth on September 15, 1999 where seven people were murdered including several teenagers. No one should have to see this in God's house of prayer. So please, PRAY - pray for those injured, killed, their families, the community, and the First Responders.

Also, please pray from DPS Senior Trooper Thomas Patrick Nipper who was killed in the line of duty on Saturday, November 4, 2017, in Temple.

Remember - Shield a Badge with a Prayer.
God Bless Texas
