Our Assembly, #1114, will need to provide a KofC 4th Degree turnout.  Also needed, volunteers to assist with traffic control/parking as well as Council #7445 Knights represented in the procession.  Please plan to participate...

Tue  June 20th
Council Meeting in the CCE Bldg (open to all). Meeting will begin at 7 pm with the Rosary. Please note - no meal will be served.  Chris Adams to discuss Hurricane Preparedness.  

Tue  June 27th
Business Meeting - CCE Bldg (all active Knights in good standing are encouraged to attend). 6:45 pm Meal/Social, 7:30 Meeting.

Fri   June 30th
Council Awards / Installation Ceremony.  Dinner 6:30 pm.  Ceremony 7:30 pm.  
All Knights and their families are encouraged to attend.  Please RSVP no later than our Business Meeting and contact GK or DGK, John Burkett, 225-572-0424, if able to assist with the planning, meal preparation and/or decorating.

Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession Full Practice Run

We will be having our "dress rehearsal" practice run tomorrow, 6/13/17. We will meet in the chapel at 6:30pm for Adoration and move over to the church.
We will need the people who will be holding the banners (ACTS, SMMS, Golden Hearts, Faith Formation)
We will need Pastoral Council members
Knights
Ushers
And representatives from all the ministries at Sacred Heart. 
This practice will help us all to understand the order of the procession and also help the procession to run smoothly on Saturday. 
Deacon John Placette will be leading the practice.

My dedicated Brothers,Supreme Knight Carl Anderson just announced the 2016 Charity totals for the Order, and Texas again led all other jurisdictions in both charitable dollars donated and volunteer hours.

Money - $177,500,673
#1 = Texas - $9.1 million
#2 = CA - $7.4 million

Hours - 75,112,694
#1 = Texas - 5.5 million
#2 = Luzon North (Philippines) - 4.9 million

Once again the Knights of Texas demonstrate an unparalleled leadership in the prime duty of our great Order. Congratulations to us all and to every council. We want each Catholic man in Texas to share with us in this sacred duty and tremendous accomplishment. Let us invite them to do so - now is the time!

We do need to look at adding Brother Knights to our cook team roster.  If interested please contact Brother Greg Nemec (713-416-2983).  If unable to commit to a cook team we can use help in other areas such as sales (before or after the Mass you attend) or clean-up.  Please consider assisting us in any way you can.  "Many hands make light work"...

Monthly Chapter Meeting, 420 Telephone Road . Rosary at 6:30 PM at the flag pole. Dinner at 7:00 PM, Meeting at 7:30 PM.   Council #7445 has been asked to send 3 delegates to represent the Council for Chapter Elections.  Please contact GK if able to attend as I will need to attend the Corpus Christi Rehearsal.  Committed to attend Chapter Meeting so far - Brother John Burkett and Brother Tom Gorman (thank you).

Semi-annual Sacred Heart Blood Drive - 8:30 am to 1 pm; Family Life Center.  Schedule your donation appointment after weekend Masses June 17 and 18.  Walk-ins welcome, too.  Sponsored by A.C.T.S.
