Thank YOU! Thanks
to all the brother Knights that assisted with last week's Fish Fry.
What a great turn-out we've had. The comments received have
been so good. And we were fortunate to have our very own Brother
Mark Stryk provide entertainment. Thanks
to the brother Knights that were able to attend Saturday's Prayer Vigil
at Planned Parenthood. As Deacon Thomas said so eloquently at
Saturday morning Mass what a perfect day to pray for life on the Feast
of the Annunciation. Thanks
also for the continued support of the 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive.
Last Monday 1,280 pounds of donated items were delivered to
Catholic Charities. WOW! And by all accounts this weekend was a great success, too. Thanks again! |

Sacred Heart Parish Work Day Come
help make the campus shine for Palm Sunday and Easter. Saturday,
April 1st, 8 am to 2 pm. Bring gardening tools, gloves and power
washers. Lunch will be provided. Work for an hour or work
all day long! Many hands make easy work, so invite your family and
friends. |
24 Hours with Christ and Lent Mission Pope
Francis has invited parishes and individuals around the world to focus
on God's mercy and the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation by
joining in an initiative called "24 Hours for the Lord." Here at Sacred
Heart, we will call it "24 Hours with Christ" and those 24 Hours will
be extended to two and a half days. The
hours of continuous ADORATION will start on April 3 at 9am, ending on
Wednesday April 5 at 6:45pm, just before Closing Mass at 7pm. The only
periods of time during these dates, when the Blessed Sacrament will not
be exposed, will be Tuesday and Wednesday, from 7:45am to 9am. As
you can see, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to choose a
date/s an time/s when you may come and visit with our Lord. He is
"thirsting" for you, He longs for your company. Perhaps this is
something you would want to do as part of your Lenten Journey. I can
assure, it will be very rewarding. In order to better organize my efforts to cover all the hours, I need to hear from you as soon as possible. As an additional Bonus, we will be blessed by having an Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, coming from Rome on Monday April 3. The Blessed Mother's Icon will remain with us through Wednesday night.
