ARTICLE IV - Meetings
 
Current By-Laws
Section 1. The first monthly business meeting of the Council shall be held on the second Monday of the month and the second monthly meeting shall be held on the fourth Monday of the month. The meetings shall be held at such a time and place as the Council may designate.
The second monthly meeting shall be the regular business meeting. Twelve members shall constitute a quorum at the business meeting.
 
Proposed Change
Section 1. The Council's 2 monthly meetings shall be held at a date, time and location established by the council. Such meetings shall be designated as (1) The Business Meeting and (2) the Officer's Meeting with all members welcome to attend. The second monthly meeting shall be the regular business meeting. Twelve members shall constitute a quorum at the business meeting.

 
ARTICLE VII- Funds

Current By-Laws
Section 3. No money in excess of $250 shall be paid or transferred from the Treasury of this Council, (except such moneys as the Council is called upon to regularly pay for its current expenses and provided by laws of the Order or for purposes approved by the Supreme Council or Board of Directors), unless two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at a regular business meeting held subsequent to a regular business meeting at which notice in writing of a resolution of intention to pay or transfer such money and the purpose and amount to be paid or transferred shall be given and regularly read.

Proposed Change
Section 3.  Section 5. The sum of $100 shall be paid from the General Relief Fund to the Financial Secretary and shall be known as the Relief Fund.

Educational Grant Opportunities 
Deadline March 1st 

Texas State Council Charities maintains two Education Grant Programs that are funded by the interest received on the Cardinal Humberto Medeiros and Christopher Trust Funds managed by the Supreme Council.  These two programs are the Catholic School Grants and the individual student Educational Grants. For a list of eligibility, guidelines and application see GK.
