Hip Replacement Surgery - Prayers Needed
Brother Butch Stoeltje's wife Linda will have Hip Replacement Surgery on Tuesday, 5 April.  Please pray for a successful surgery and that her doctors and surgery team execute to the best of their ability.  Also pray for Brother Butch and all of their family as they progress thru this time.
Upcoming Expenditure Vote
You may be aware that St Joseph Abbey in Louisiana (where Sacred Heart Seminarians David Mannino and Justin Perry attend) was flooded with about 4 feet of water in mid March.   The Abbey does not have insurance to rebuild and is looking for financial assistance to get the Seminary back in order.

As a result of the outstanding support from Sacred Heart Parish to the 40 Cans for Lent program that just concluded, the Council will be re-imbursed by Supreme $500 for the over 3 TONS of product delivered to Helping Hands.  Since this income was not included in the budget, a motion was made and passed at the March 22nd Business meeting to tithe this $500 to the Abbey.  That $500 check was mailed March 23rd to the St Joseph Flood Relief Fund.

In addition, a
motion was made in the March 22nd Business Meeting for the Council to match this $500 donation for St Joseph Abbey Flood Relief.  Since this worthy expenditure was not in the 2015-2016 Council Budget, a Council vote will be held at the April 26th Council Business meeting seeking Council approval of this motion.

Revenue from the Lenten Fish Frys exceeded forecast and these funds will be used to support this expenditure.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call, e-mail, or catch me at daily or weekend mass.  Your attendance at the vote is requested and welcome.

Your prayers for the Seminarians and the Abbey are needed and always appreciated.

Thanks for your Support
KC BBQ COOK - Thanks to the Brothers who assisted with the KC BBQ this weekend.  On Sat, Brothers Greg Nemec and Raul DeLeon prepared the meat for the Sunday cook. Brothers Larry Stryk and Art Hausler cooked the ribs on Saturday to take some of the pressure off the BBQ cook team.  Brother Greg Nemec lead the cook on Sunday, with Brothers Leonard Moreno, Jaime Hernandez, Raul DeLeon, and Raul Martinez (Bean Cooker) handling the cooking in the chilly morning air.  DGK Brother David Hobson fixed breakfast for the cook team and anyone who showed up before 7:00AM while Brother Alfred Cortez handled clean up.  Supporting the sales effort on Sunday were Brothers Don Hoeveler, Butch Stoeltje, Bernie Lednicky, Jaime Hernandez, Greg Nemec, Michael Spiech, and Art Hausler.   Thanks to all for your support and purchases - and battling and surviving the never ending gnat attacks.  Sorry if I missed any Brothers who assisted.

Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup - On Saturday (4/2) morning, we had Brothers Chris Haskins, Kevin Eaves, Bo Banowski, DGK David Hobson, PGK Marty Gibula, and the GK show up at 7:30AM to wade thru knee high grass and a steady wind to pick up 11 bags of trash on a 2 mile stretch of FM359 west of FM723.  The exercise was completed in about 2 hours time. The Crew sorely missed always present Don Hoeveler, who forgot about the event.
