Upcoming Expenditure Vote
You may be aware that St Joseph Abbey in Louisiana (where Sacred Heart Seminarians David Mannino and Justin Perry attend) was flooded with about 4 feet of water in mid March.   The Abbey does not have insurance to rebuild and is looking for financial assistance to get the Seminary back in order.

As a result of the outstanding support from Sacred Heart Parish to the 40 Cans for Lent program that just concluded, the Council will be re-imbursed by Supreme $500 for the over 3 TONS of product delivered to Helping Hands.  Since this income was not included in the budget, a motion was made and passed at the March 22nd Business meeting to tithe this $500 to the Abbey.  That $500 check was mailed March 23rd to the St Joseph Flood Relief Fund.

In addition, a
motion was made in the March 22nd Business Meeting for the Council to match this $500 donation for St Joseph Abbey Flood Relief.  Since this worthy expenditure was not in the 2015-2016 Council Budget, a Council vote will be held at the April 26th Council Business meeting seeking Council approval of this motion.

Revenue from the Lenten Fish Frys exceeded forecast and these funds will be used to support this expenditure.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call, e-mail, or catch me at daily or weekend mass.  Your attendance at the vote is requested and welcome.

Your prayers for the Seminarians and the Abbey are needed and always appreciated.

Ladies Appreciation Night
The Ladies Appreciation Night on April 9th is approaching very fast.  The Co-Chairs (Art Hausler and Larry Stryk) need your support on a couple of points
  1. Invites were mailed to all ladies about 3-4 weeks ago.  Please ask your wife if she has RSVP'ed and if not please ask her to call Art or Larry if she plans to attend the event.
  2. Volunteers are needed to support Hall Set Up, Kitchen Clean Up, Waiters and Wine Stewards, Hall Tear Down and Clean Up.
Hall Set Up and Kitchen Prep will start Friday evening about 5:30-6 and will finish after 12Noon on Saturday.  Your help at either or both of these times, as well as tear down after the Meal, is appreciated.

Sat, Apr 2nd, Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup - The March 12th trash Pick-up was cancelled due to the heavy rains earlier that week. Due to Spring Break and Easter, this event has moved out to April 2nd.   We will meet at the Shell station at FM723 & FM359 and hit the 2 miles of FM359 at 7:30AM. With 6-10 guys (Spouses/kids/grandkids welcome) this task can be completed in less than 1.5 hours.
Can you share your time to assist.

Time for our semi-annual Baby Shower for the Pregnancy Resource Mediucal Center (PRMC) of Fort Bend County. Teamed with the Pro-Life Ministry of Sacred Heart, the Parish is asked to support the PRMC with Baby Items for those going thru a troubled pregnancy.  With the PRMC providing pregnancy tests and ultra sounds to expectant mothers, products are needed to support those ladies who make the decision to carry their precious packages to birth.  Any and all new product is appreciated but due to liability issues used Cribs, beds and car seats cannot be accepted.
