40 Cans for Lent - Week 2 The support for Week 2 of 40 Cans for Lent was
overwhelming compared to last week. Brother Karl and Susan loaded
up their vehicle and headed over to Helping Hands this morning.
Per Helping Hands, the Parish donated 1,090 pounds to their stock this week. Helping hands was impressed at the support. That makes 1,789 pounds in just 2 weeks.
Parish participation is fantastic - have you joined in? Thanks to
all who supported the call thus far - keep it up, if possible.
Can we blow away 1090 next week? |
Lenten Fish Fry #2 Thanks
for all the support from Brother Knights and their wives at the Lenten
Fish Fry on Fri, Feb 12th. Outstanding support and a lot of
fraternity and hard work was shown by all present. We had 2
Seminarian Dads doing the dish washing- 2 Seminarian Mons and a
Seminarian Dad working the fryers and serving line - man what a
community effort. Where were you? Hope to see YOU on Friday, Feb 26th for Fry #3. There was considerable assistance from ACTS Brothers and Sisters and SSMM Ladies. Please consider joining the community effort for Council 7445 and Sacred Heart ACTS and SSMM. |
CCE Building Flower Beds Have
you noticed the flower bed work being done in front of the CCE building
that faces the Plaza. Brothers Larry Stryk, Kevin Eaves, and Leo
Poszywak have rebuilt the flower beds with stone borders and installed
new plants while removing the overwhelming shrubs that were there.
Also assisting were Art Hausler and Bo Bonowsky. There is still
more work that needs to be done so contact either Larry (832-520-4044)
or Kevin (281-750-5052) to check on the next workday. Right now,
it appears it might be April 19th, but there may be a few pre-work days
before then. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR UNSELFISH SUPPORT OF THE COUNCIL AND PARISH. |

Parishioners to include Knights and their wives/children will be
peacefully praying from 7:00AM until 1:00PM. If you have not
signed up for a 1 hour time slot, please consider showing up for an
hour or so. You CAN and WILL make a difference - and you will never know the true benefits of the time you devote to this worthwhile cause.
