Passing of Brother Sir Knight's Loved One Itis
with heavy heart that we anounce the Passing of Debbie Mensay's (wife
of SK Jim Mensay) mother, Elaine Bergeron, on Friday, Jan 15th
while in hospice in San Marcos. Mrs Bergeron was surronded by her
immediate family at her time of death. Details of the funeral
arrangements are not available at this time other than the
services in her hometown of Norco, Louisiana sometime this week.
Jim and Debbie will be in Norco until next weekend. Please
pray for them and the balance of Mrs Bergeron's family during this time
as well as safe travels for all. May perpetual light shine on them. Amen |
February Council BBQ/Super Bowl Brisket Cook Super
Bowl Brisket Sales have been steady for the last few weeks and will
likely pick up over the remaining 2 weekends that we will be taking
orders. We are in need of of seasoning team for Friday (2/5),
cooking teams for Saturday and Sunday (2/6th-7th), and a sales team after
all masses on Sunday. Please share your time and talents with the
Council and Sacred Heart Parish. Your support would be greatly
appreciated. |
January Service Opportunities Tue, Jan 19th - Council Officers Meeting -all
are invited to this organization and planning meeting to line up the
near term Council events along with preliminary planning for the next 2
months or so. Would be great to have all of the Program Directors
to give updates on their upcoming events. Wed, Jan 20th, Council Free Throw Contest - This will be part of the Wed Faith Formation Classes in the FLC Gym. Contest will run from 6:15-7:30PM. Hopefully
we can get more participation for the youth of the parish. If you

Fri, Jan 22nd, Archdiocese Clergy Appreciation Night - A yearly event sponsored by the Knights in Galveston-Houston showing our appreciation for all of our clergy and seminarians. Tue, Jan 26th , Council Business Meeting -come meet and socialize with your Brother Knights and learn what is going on. Please look at your calendar and please schedule family and/or your time to support the Parish and Council events.
