VA Hospital Veteran Visitation on Sun, Nov 29thAttendance was light with the Council contingency made up of DGK David Hobson, recent transfer Mike Appling, and GK Howard Harbes.  Despite the small crew, the project for those attending was very rewarding.  We joined 10m other Brother Knights from around Houston in the service project.  Hope you can join us on our next trip to the VA Hospital on Dec 20th.
Nativity Yard Art Sales are ramping down with the product moving really fast.  Hope you and family were able to buy the product you wanted as we appear to be down to just the original Nativity scenes.
December Service Opportunities
Sat, Dec 5th - Miracle on Morton Street - Council will have a food booth at this event and help is needed to sell and cook food as well as wait on customers.  We will start by loading up at about 7:30AM at the KC Shed and then moving a pit and supplies over to Morton Street in downtown Richmond by the City Water Tower.  Help is needed all during the day call Brother Larry Stryk (832-520-4044).
Sat, Dec 5th/Sun, Dec 6th - KC BBQ Cook - Team "A" is up for this cook so please make time to support your quarterly commit to the Council. Brother Greg Nemec is going to take the lead but he will need help to make this happen. Give him a call even if you are not on the "A" Team if you are available to assist.
Thu, Dec 10th, Council Christmas Party - Sacred Heart Family Life Center- this was moved to a weekday night in hopes of improving attendance as weekends in Dec are usually packed with family and work occasions.  Santa and Mrs Claus will be available from 6:30 - 7:00PM to visit with the kids and the meal will start at 7.  Plans are to end this by 8:30 so kidos (and parents) can get home early for bed.

Eucharistic Adoration - Sacred Heart Chapel
Please take time to visit with our Lord in Adoration between the hours of 3:00PM and 10:00PM on Wednesdays in the Chapel.   The adoration will start at 3:00PM with the Devine Mercy Chaplet.  All are invited and any time spent will offer graces and blessings for you, your family, Sacred Heart Church, and the Holy Catholic Church.  At the close of the Adoration time, the Devine Mercy Chaplet is once more recited along with a benediction that is supported by Fathers Michael and/or Thomas.

Please consider committing to a specific time slot every week.  There are forms at the back of the Church and Chapel to sign up.  A committed time is not a requirement to attend Eucharistic Adoration.
Pro Life Activities
Pro-Life Ace Wings - Viewing the movie "Blood Money" (80 minutes) will serve as three of the five event requirements. This is a very informative documentary involving women having had abortions and others previously involved in the abortion industry who are now Pro-Life.
