September Service Opportunities September 8 - Council Regular Meeting- Plan to attend for a busy fraternal year. Meal/Social time starts at 6:45 with the meeting starting at 7:30. Brother Rickey Constantine has signed up for a Cajun dish - will be good. September 12/13 - Council BBQ Prep and Cook - Head
Cook Brother SK Raul Martinez is back in a limited capacity after his
rotator cup surgery in June. Your assistance on the cook team is
appreciated. Cook was moved to the 13th due to Monday Sep 7 being Labor Day. Sep 15th Council Officers Meeting - All membership is invited to attend - Will likely meet at Buena Vista Restaurant by the River Bridge. KC/SH Baby Shower for PRMC - September 19/20 - after
all Masses this weekend a trailer will be posted outside of Sacred
Heart to take donations for Pregnancy Resource Medical Center.The center
is in need of the following items for their clients: Boy and girl 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 and 12 month clothes; Baby shampoo, powder, and lotion; Boy and girl socks and shoes; Boy and girl burping cloths; ointment; Bottles; and Diaper bags. Gently
used or New clothing is appreciated. Used furniture and car seats
cannot be distributed because of liability concerns. Cash
donations are welcome - make checks payable to PRMC. An insert will be in the bulletin with this info a week prior to this collection. September 26 - Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup - Council will meet at the Shell Station at the corner of FM723 and FM359 at 7:30AM to pick up trash along 2 miles of FM359. The more Brothers (and family) who participate, the faster the task will be completed. Hope to see you there for the fellowship. Council and 4th Degree Turn Out for Fantastic
Sir Knight Turn Out for Father Michael's Installation, especially
considering the short fuse on the request for the turn out at the 11:15
Mass on Sunday, August 30th. Father Michael Installation - 8/30 From
Sacred Heart the following (15) Council 7445 Sir Knights from turned
out: Commander/DGK David Hobson, PFN/PGK George Boyum,
PGK/PFN/Comptroller Dan Polczynski, PFN Larry Stryk, FN/PGK Marty
Gibula, Scribe Mike Webber, Art Hausler, Mark Stryk, Jim Mensay, Kevin
Eaves, Chris Haskins, PGK Tony Trevino, John Burkett, Danny Walthall,
and GK Howard Harbes. Also in the congregation were at least 10
Brother Knights from Council 7445. Thanks to all for your
participation in this late request Turn Out and time change in Council
Corporate Communion. Also thanks for supporting our new Priests at
Sacred Heart. Sir Knights attending from other Councils were Co-Commander Kenny Ortiz, Louis Saucedo,and Captain Rick Hail. Next time you see any of them say "Thanks" for their support of Sacred Heart. Eucharistic Adoration Sacred Heart Chapel Please take time to visit with our Lord in Adoration between the hours of 3:00PM and 10:00PM on Wednesdays in
the Chapel. The adoration will start at 3:00PM with the
Devine Mercy Chaplet. All are invited and any time spent will
offer graces and blessings for you, your family, Sacred Heart Church,
and the Holy Catholic Church. Please consider
committing to a specific time slot every week. There are
forms at the back of the Church and Chapel to sign
up. A committed time is not a requirement to attend Eucharistic Adoration. |
VA HOSPITAL VISITATION Future 2015-2016 dates that our Council is scheduled are: October 4th, November 1st, February 7th, April 3rd, June 19th. These dates may change as we have quite a few conflicts with our 2015-2016 Calendar.
Half a day to show your support of men who gave part of their lives to protect our freedoms is a small price to pay. We will leave Sacred Heart at about 7-7:15AM to car pool to the Veterans Hospital in the Houston Medical Center and should be back in the Sacred Heart parking lot by 12:00noon
Make room on your calendar for some or all of these dates on your calendar. Our Veterans deserve you to give back to them for the service to us and our country. |

the movie "Blood Money" (80 minutes) will serve as three of the five
event requirements. This is a very informative documentary involving
women having had abortions and others previously involved in the
